- The Registration Phase (August 24 – October 3, 2025)
This is your first step of the application process, and the complete process is online. It is one of the most crucial steps. Here is a simple guide to be followed:
- Candidates need to visit the official GATE website, and it is suggested that the candidates should not visit any third-party websites to fill their application form..
- The candidate needs to create an account using their email and phone number.
- The candidate needs to fill in the details like the name, parents’ names, and address.
- The candidate can select one or two papers from the list of 30 subjects.
- The candidate needs to upload their documents, like their photograph, signature, and category certificate.
- The Application fee is different for different categories. In case you miss the first deadline, you can still apply until October 3 by paying an extra late fee.
- The Correction Window (November 4 – 8, 2025)
Candidates need not panic in case they have committed a mistake in the application form; a correction window will be opened, and you can rectify your mistake then. But candidates also need to keep this thing mind that they cannot change everything on the application form, so it is better to be careful while filling the form.
- The Admit Card (January 3, 2026)
